Semantic CLI framework

I think, that people are many times reinventing the wheel, because we need new way to create application. Today many applications are designed as one piece(application engine and communications are designed by programmers). Not all applications are designed in this way, but many.

Other reason is reading output of application. Currently we have only two standard output descriptions. What about allowing to returning code of messages with messages? It is like error codes, but application can returning it, when working.

If we had done semantic CLI framework, more CLI applications could works as GUI applications, I think, and many thinks will be easier.

 New gettext feature.

 by Lachu on: Feb 5 2010
Score 50%

It will be great if gettext will converts each string/translation in database to numbers. There will be many other matters, like:

printf(_("%d cities are starving"), 2)

Gettext can convert it onto:
78 %d, so we will got "78 2"

We must define new language.

It's not great idea, because format string can be changed by programmer, so in some situation the number will be changed too.

 Instead modifying gettext

 by Lachu on: Feb 5 2010
Score 50%

I think, that in place of modifying gettext, we should add new library.

Programs will first check, that messages should be human readable or computer readable, like this:

if (__program_on_stdout()) {
printf("77 %d\n", 2);
else {
// we must send human readable message
