Description:

This is a set of widget styles for Qt4/KDE4, KDE3 and Gtk2 based apps.

0.49 is the first version to have a Qt4/KDE4 port. This version may be compiled with just Qt4 - in which case the KDE4 control panel config dialog will not be built. See the INSTALL file for more details.

The fonts and colours for the GTK themes will be read in from your Qt settings - so any KDE font/colour changes will also affect your GTK apps.

**NOTE:** The Gtk3 release has been removed, as the Gtk theme API has changed!

NOTE: kde-look.org had a server crash, and the original QtCurve entry was deleted.

Changelog:

KDE4
====

1.8.14
------
1. Fix loading of kwin decoration/config under KDE4.9

KDE3
====

1.8.5
-----
1. Allow scrollbar sliders to be as thin as 5 pixels. At this setting, sliders will be squared.

Gtk2
====

1.8.16
------
1. fix memleak with newer versions of cairo.

 by tch on: Dec 10 2010

Score 50%

I've updated my qtcurve.so file with 1.8.1 and tried to edit ~/.config/qtcurve/stylerc but anything i done has no effect.
Is this the config file of QtCurve?
Wich is the option for the 64x64 menu background file?

 nVidia Gtk glitch

My Gtk buttons and scrollbars are drawn incorrectly (flat), this is fixed when the mouse is passed over, but reverts to the incorrect state after some time. I'm using nVidia and cairo 1.10.0, so is this the bug mentioned in the changelog? If so, 1.8.1 didn't fix this bug. I'm using Debian package gtk2-engines-qtcurve 1.8.1-1 from unstable.

Just tried, and it works fine. But you *must* compile against cairo-1.10

So, if you change your cairo version, you need to recompile QtCurve.

 V 1,8.2.

Just so you know, the download link for the source to the gtk2-version of 1.8.2 points to a non-existing tarball of the gtk3-version.

 wrong icon theme

Im using qtcurve-gtk2 but when I launch Chromium, its using Gnome icons instead of my selected icon theme. I think this is related to gtk-fallback-icon-theme="gnome", however I do not want to edit the theme everytime I change icons. How can I fix this so it will always use my selected icon theme?

BTW I use lxappearance to change gtk themes and icon themes.

 Non-flat background crash Gtk

 by Deciare on: Dec 16 2010

Ever since updating to QtCurve 1.8.2, all Gtk2 apps crash when the background effect is set to anything but "flat", or background image is set to anything but "none". QtCurve 1.8.1 worked fine. Any guesses?

I've just tried background gradients, and images, and it works fine for me.

Can you run the application through gdb?

e.g. "gdb gimp", then type "run" to start it. When it crashes type "list"

I had to rebuild something with debugging enabled to get any output at all. Here's what came out:

Starting program: /usr/bin/lxappearance
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0xb7d934e9 in gtk_scrolled_window_get_hscrollbar ()
from /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
(gdb) list
362 lxappearance.c: No such file or directory.
in lxappearance.c
(gdb)

For some reason, when I rebuild QtCurve-Gtk2 with -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug, the problem goes away. I'm only seeing crashes with -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release.

Thanks, using -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release I managed to reproduce the problem. To fix, edit scrollbar.c and add:

return NULL;

to then end of qtcScrollbarParentScrolledWindow

I'll make a release with this fix in a bit.

 Gtk2 Vs Qtcurve

 by koko2k on: Dec 17 2010

I noticed some inconsistencies between qt4 and gtk2 appaerances, here:
http://wpage.unina.it/aorefice/sharevari/glitches.jpeg
i outlined how menu bar looks different and also how the background image painted under gtk doesn't tile as the qt4 one.

This is my style:
http://wpage.unina.it/aorefice/sharevari/exportstyle.qtcurve
However, when i try to import it, something seems wrong.

So here's my: .config/qtcurve dir:
http://wpage.unina.it/aorefice/sharevari/qtcurve.tar.gz

thanks
