Description:

This is a set of widget styles for Qt4/KDE4, KDE3 and Gtk2 based apps.

0.49 is the first version to have a Qt4/KDE4 port. This version may be compiled with just Qt4 - in which case the KDE4 control panel config dialog will not be built. See the INSTALL file for more details.

The fonts and colours for the GTK themes will be read in from your Qt settings - so any KDE font/colour changes will also affect your GTK apps.

**NOTE:** The Gtk3 release has been removed, as the Gtk theme API has changed!

NOTE: kde-look.org had a server crash, and the original QtCurve entry was deleted.

Changelog:

KDE4
====

1.8.14
------
1. Fix loading of kwin decoration/config under KDE4.9

KDE3
====

1.8.5
-----
1. Allow scrollbar sliders to be as thin as 5 pixels. At this setting, sliders will be squared.

Gtk2
====

1.8.16
------
1. fix memleak with newer versions of cairo.

 feature request, rounded menus

 by edio on: Sep 20 2010

Score 50%

Will it be possible to make rounded popup menus with borderless selected menu entries like on MacOS?
1st screenshot on google
http://www.sigsoftware.com/classicmenu/screenshot.jpeg

Now, making popup menus rounded also makes rounded selection.

Also, want to vote for the issue with titlebar height, discussed above. The fix, you provide, solved my problem too. I will be glad to see this fix in the future upstream release.

And thanks for good work! :)

 slightly rounded popupmenus

I noticed the popup menu corners are still square when set to slightly rounded, is this a bug or intentional? (impossible with gtk?)

With 1.6.2. sunken window button backgrounds appear without gradient on non-fullscreen windows (but the preview is still ok...).

Hmmm... This only seems to happen if you use background gradients. Anyway, I'll try to fix.

 Two stuff

I have two stuff with 1.6.2.

I am using a modification of Aqua II in OpenSuSE 11.3 x86_64 with 4.5.1.

- When I use menubars blend with titlebar, the opacity settings don't apply to titlebar and menubar.

- If I try to use round popup menus without borders, I can't. When I deactivate border popup menus automatically activates not rounding popup menus and vice versa.

 2 Bugs.

When I add a custom svg to the background (like here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Interesting.?content=132957)the qtcurve settings windows seem to crash crashes when trying to load consistently.

what info can I provide to confirm this is a bug?

@2nd Bug is when trying to load any background image, including circles. Gtk apps seem to load the image but seem to ignore the menubar color rules.

Steps to replicate:
1. set menubar to blend to titlebar/ set custom color (say black)
2. added the circles w/ borders background image.
3. open up inkscape/gimp: menubar text will be correctly white, but the black part will be replaced by a natural extension of the circles with borders. Almost as if the black background is being drawn under the image not above it. (this doesnt affect kde/qt apps)

First bug - I'll look into this later. Will try to fix for next patch release.

Second bug - I cant reproduce this, my menubars seem to work as expected. Can you post some screenshots to explain better? Also, can you send me your qtcurve settings? Just export these from the config dialog. My email address is in the AUTHORS file. Thanks.

1.5.2 worked perfectly when applying settings over and over and previewing things.

Updated to 1.6.2 yesterday, i usually make changes, exit the qtcurve dialogue, apply the plastique theme and then qtcurve, but 1.6.2 crashed when i tried to reconfigure and sometimes when switching from plastique to qtcurve in the dropdown.

Here is the debug info:

This is of no use to me without the QtCurve settings.

QtCurve 1.5.2 would write it's settings to a temp file, and then the style would read that. For 1.6.2, the settings are passed into the newly created style. This makes it possible to have the style detached, so that you can see changes as you make them.

Obviously something is going wrong when the config object is sent to the style - but its working for me.

Are you on a 64-bit machine?

OK, try this fix. In config/qtcurveconfig.cpp change:

setStyleRecursive(mdiWindow ? (QWidget *)mdiWindow : (QWidget *)stylePreview, style);

to:

setStyleRecursive(mdiWindow ? (QWidget *)previewFrame : (QWidget *)stylePreview, style);

Does this fix the issue? It seems to with me (for the issue where a background SVG has been set).

Its Reproduceable now:

The X6.qtcurve was made by qtcurve 1.5.2

Go into qtcurve's config dialogue, pick the agua preset (or any other), hit ok to exit the dialogue, press apply (which doesn't do anything here) scroll up one on the widget style dropdown to plastique, hit apply, scroll back down to qtcurve, hit apply, hit configure, pick X6 (this theme was called X6.qtcurve in ~/.kde/share/apps/QtCurve/, hit ok, then hit apply, scroll up to plastique in the widget style dropdown, hit apply, scroll back down to qtcurve, hit apply and hit configure and it crashes every time.

I think the reason is that the preview is being updated as its being loaded, and things are not quite initialised. I think I have this fixed. If you email me (address is in AUTHORS file), then I'll send you a version to test.

(My 'fix' posted above does not actually work - and I think it only masked the issue for a certain scenario)
