Description:

Lipstik is a fast and clean style for KDE3 with many options to tune your desktop look.

Just try it! :)

INSTALLATION : Please read the INSTALL file.

CONFIGURATION : You can find many options in the style's configuration panel. Go to Settings/Appearance & Themes/Style and click on the 'configure' button.

BUGS : Read the BUGS file; if the issue is not reported, post a comment below, I'll try to read them often.

DEBUG TRACE : If you have a debug trace, dont post it here; send it to me via email.

Lipstik now has a home page, go check it out!

Have fun!

Changelog:

---01/10/2007---
2.2.3 : For my PC-BSD friends...
--Add a configurable active tab highlight color.
--PC-BSD rocks! Try it!

---17/02/2007---
2.2.2 : After one year...
--Just a repackaging of the special Debian version.
--Updated the spec file for Fedora Core 6, thanks to Pramod Venugopal.
--Lipstik now has a home page (http://poplix.homelinux.com/lipstik).

...I have a new version (2.3) locally but it will need some more testing before I release it; Lipstik is still not dead after all ;)

It's 'Plastik'. You have to install the package kdeartwork in order to get it.

If you dont feel like install a huge package for one window decoration, check out Knifty. Nearly identically (I personally like Knifty better).

Check out my contributions and see my screenshot. It contains a better example of Knifty then the screenshots with the release.

Yeah? Well...you're hogging up all the ugly!

 resolves an oddity

If you choose the windows style scrollbar you can resolve an oddity with the gtk scrollbar (the gtk scrollbar is like windows one, with one button up and one down, the kde one instead got one button up and two buttons down, the result with gtk-qt is that the bar itsel scrolls over the bottom up button, lipstik with windows style scrollbar resolves this issue :-D)

--- SNIP START ---
Awsome...
12/03/2004, 12:25 on content: Lipstik
... I'm speachless.

2 tiny remarks:
a) the stripe does not appear when Menu Effect is set to Translucent
b) choosing a color for the stripe is applied without a gradient (is this the
desired behaviour?)
---- SNIP END ----

Keep perfecting perfection, not that I am complaining. Its so wonderful to see someone keep developing a theme. So many start off with promise and fizzle out. Glad you kept at it and overjoyed about this Xmas present :)

I would like to report a small bug. When you select any of the options to display a custom colour and hit ok, the new settings are recognized, however after applying them and going back into the configure screen, changing the colours, the settings are not picked up. You have to check and uncheck a box for them to be picked up.

Reproduce:

Select checkbox for "custome menu stripe colour and choose a custom colour.

Click OK and the "apply" button will be clickable in the main CC window.

Click "configure" button for lipstik again and change the custom colour and click OK

The "apply" button is not selectable and the new colour wont be recognized until you go back into the configure screen and select and unselect an option.

Yeah? Well...you're hogging up all the ugly!
