Comix flat style for KDE 3.2+.

I hope this adds a little more fun to your desktop.
Thanks to all the authors of previous styles published for KDE. Please read AUTHORS, README and TODO.

Use the styles configuration button to overwrite the contour drawing color.
Use KDEs ControlCenter "Colors" dialog to adjust buttons- and highlight-color as well as the contrast.
Use kcontrols window decoration config-dialog to adjust title alignment and border width.

Also check the corresponding cursor theme at: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=32627

Have fun.

comix is beautiful, and keeps getting better.

I have a hard time telling which window is active by looking at the taskbar. Other themes seem to have a more clearly defined depressed-button look for the active task. Is this something that you could add?

Yes, these "square" buttons would profit from more contrast. I'm going to adjust that soon, but it will take some more days, for I am doing the big code cleanup right now.

Hello. I must say, this style is awesome!! At the time I saw it, I already new it is the one for my mandrake 10.1 kde installation. Unfortunatelly, it gives me error when trying to compile:
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!
I already use the option --x-libraries:/usr/X11R6. What am I doing wrong??

Thank you in advance!!

you are probably missing the X development package? That is "xorg-x11-devel" or "XFree86-devel".

Well maybe this is not necessary at all, and it's just a glitch in my Makefile due to the configuration on my box? Please try "make -f Makefile.cvs && ./configure ..." in the source directory first, and tell me whether it helps. Maybe someone can give me a hint on this issue? X11-devel packages shouldn't be necessary?

I liked this style very much, but style of titlebar is a bit disappointing, I expect rework here.

 Comix is great

I love the look of comix. However, it is buggy. It crashes when I try to open up OOo 1.2.1 help system and various dialog boxes. This problem doesn't occur in all other widgets.

Hi there,
thanks for the report! Have you got an Backtrace output or similar? And what other dialogs are you talking about? Maybe they are easier to debug? I will fix the crashes in the upcoming version 1.3 as soon as possible.

Hey there,
I hope the bug is solved in comix-1.3. It looks like the color option in addition with drawing Tabs has caused the crashes, i am not shure whether comix crashed the GTK Theme Engine or OpenOffice itself. If you are using KDE from CVS you might need to install comix for the GTK Theme Engine location, which seems to be the "original" KDE location.
And thanks for the fish.

 windec & tabs

hi, i still love your style, but there is the tab thingy i didn't like from the beginning - if you don't use centered tabs the left tab does not flow over in the box beneath it... i hope i make myself clear enough, but its easy to see on the preview in style settings. looks ugly, imho.

and the windec - can't you allow to round the corners? if that's possible, well, comix is finished imho :D
