Description:

Comix flat style for KDE 3.2+.

I hope this adds a little more fun to your desktop.
Thanks to all the authors of previous styles published for KDE. Please read AUTHORS, README and TODO.

Use the styles configuration button to overwrite the contour drawing color.
Use KDEs ControlCenter "Colors" dialog to adjust buttons- and highlight-color as well as the contrast.
Use kcontrols window decoration config-dialog to adjust title alignment and border width.

Also check the corresponding cursor theme at: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=32627

Have fun.

Hi, I managed to compile this without errors. I see there are some new files are created at /usr/lib/kde3/, /usr/share/apps/kstyle/themes/, etc. But how do I load the new theme on to my KDE?

Thanks.

Hi lahanos,
when you managed to install open KDE "Control Center" (kcontrol), select "Appearance & Themes" and the "Style" and "Window Decoration" panels to select Comix.
Aloha

Hey, just wanted to say how much I love your theme! I think it looks great paired with the Thin Keramik windeco, so that you've got a rounded look to the window caption bubbles, buttons, sliders, etc. Keep up the good work!

When nobody is looking, this sentence is in Spanish.

 Congrats /Suggestion

Your theme is superb: finally something original and that doesn't try to emulate the usual MacOSX "look'n'feel". It's time for Linux users to distinguish themselves from the rest.

A couple of suggestions though (I'm not criticizing, just proposing enhancements):

1. you should add an option to allow users to choose between full lenght window title bars and the short, actual ones;

2. it would be nice if, besides the windows borders, users could choose also the thickness of the border around all the other widgets;

3. I would also like to have an option to draw a line between the various bars at the top of the windows: I feel that, compared to the rest of the window, which is usually graphically very rich, the upper part of it is a bit poor and could benefit of some "motion"

If only we could have a full set of "flat" icons to match Comix... I dream of a "flat" version of the Nuvola ones, then I would have my perfect desktop!

And also a Comix theme for Firefox would be very much appreciated since it's the only thing on my system that "looks different". But I'm afraid this is not the right place to ask! :-)

: Sorry if my english is funny :

I agree that there could be an option to draw the line at the top of the window´s client area ( above menubar ) - But actually I find it really original and it make me feel that Linux/KDE distinguish from other OSes GUI style...

This is my opinion and taste, but others would not like it and be able to make the separator visible :-)

Yes, i am working on an update, which will have an option for expanded title box and the separator. There will be more optical effects, code clean up and speed improvement for the windec and the style as well. But this will take some more days.

What window decoration do you use on this screenshot? It looks great - at least with your theme ;)

Thanks! I just realized that I'm using a totally out-of-date version of Comix. I'll try that ebuild now.
