Description:

This is the Plastik theme (from almost current CVS) with a slightly changed menu design. The border is painted with the highlight color and you can choose the menu colors independently of your desktop colors.
i decided to rename it to avoid conflicts with the real Plastik.
The menu is heavily inspired by the Baghira style that's why a friend of mine came up with the name Ballistik.
Hope you like it, have fun.
To install follow the usual instructions:
./configure && make && make install

Software tint does currently not work. Use Software blend instead.

Looks like that what you've called a bz2 is in fact a gzip. May I suggest that you rename it to tar.gz (or make a real bzip2) ?

Sorry about that, should be fixed now.
I shouldn't be messing around with Makefiles :)

 cant compile

cant compile it on Suse 9.1 Kde 3.21

WARNING: `automake-1.7' is missing on your system. You should only need it if
you modified `Makefile.am', `acinclude.m4' or `configure.in'.
You might want to install the `Automake' and `Perl' packages.
Grab them from any GNU archive site.
cd . && perl admin/am_edit Makefile.in
Can't open perl script "admin/am_edit": Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
make: *** [Makefile.in] Fehler 2

automake of course is installed and perl too.
Posible to fix this?

It says "No files in archive" so you may not have compressed your files correctly.

i cant install mine first i had same problems as the above "suse-user", these can be solved by installing automake-1.7 (important i had automake-1.4 installed, you need automkae-1.7 ADDITIONALLY). after configuring sucessfully i get the following response from make:

cd . && /bin/sh /home/hannes/ballistik-0.5/admin/missing --run aclocal-1.7
cd . && \
/bin/sh /home/hannes/ballistik-0.5/admin/missing --run automake-1.7 --foreign Makefile
cd . && perl admin/am_edit Makefile.in
Can't open perl script "admin/am_edit": Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
[File or DIR not found]

what now?
could anybody who got this working on debian (sid) maybe provide a deb or an apt-repository?
thanks

I checked out Plastik from kde's cvs to create Ballistik. All the build scripts came with it. Those are definitly way better than everything I could ever write.

I just had a look if I could find the file the error message mentioned and fount it on the webcvs:
http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/kde-common/admin/am_edit?rev=1.411
I hope it helps but don't ask me you need it and no one else does :)

 found a minor glitch

in the k-menu the round 'buttons' ("All Applications", "Actions", etc.) have light borders around them, they should be the color of the rest of the background

What Window Decoration are you using; the bar at the top with the minimize, maximize, and close? I've been looking for something for quite a while :)

Thanks
